Traditional, Family-Centered Birth & Postpartum Tending

A space that empowers autonomous, ancestrally-guided birth work and honors traditional ways of bringing new life into the world.

Welcome, I’m Brielle

I envision a return to mother-centered, sovereign birth ways where families are empowered to birth in deep connection with ancestral wisdom and their own intuitive knowing, creating ripples of healing that extend from individual families to our collective relationship with the earth.

The vision behind Indigoway is to preserve and honor traditional birth ways while nurturing sacred spaces where families can birth autonomously, guided by their innate wisdom and supported through hands-off witnessing and care. Through this work, I am committed to supporting the reemergence of healthy families and mother-centered care as a pathway to healing our relationship with birth, family constellations, each other, and our earth.

Core Foundations

Weaving together Indigenous birthing wisdom, plant medicine teachings, heart-centered care and deep trust in the body’s innate wisdom — to a practice that centers mother-led, family-guided birth ways.

  • Trust in the divine mystery of birth, in a woman's capacity to find her path to motherhood, in the ancient wisdom that lives in our bones. Trust in the natural unfolding of life, in the consciousness of the souls choosing to come through, and in the resurgence of sovereign family ways.

  • Not merely the absence of words, but a state of deep presence. An embodied quiet that creates space for contraction and expansion, a calm that allows women to journey inward to find motherhood. In this silence, an energetic container for the sacred work of birthing is held and honored.

  • My understanding of this principle crystallized in a Temezcal during an Andean midwifery training, where in the sacred darkness, as water met hot stones and a grandmother who had birthed many children shared her wisdom, I first heard these words that would shape the entirety of my practice. In that sweat lodge, during our rebirth ceremony, the concept of being invisible in the realms of the subtle took root in my being. It became my commitment, my way forward – being the witness of sacred moments without needing to be seen as their keeper.

We were so grateful to have Brie step in to support us with our 2-month-old. We had to end our night support with our previous doula and can't appreciate Brie enough for stepping in and helping out right away! From the very beginning, Brie was incredibly gentle and caring with our baby, which immediately put us at ease. She was very helpful as we worked on adapting to a sleep schedule with our newborn, which made a big difference for our family. She also quickly adapted to our home environment—even when we had family visiting and things were a bit busier than usual—making everything feel smooth and comfortable. We especially appreciated her flexibility and willingness to adjust to our changing schedules. Having her with us brought so much peace of mind, and we would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a kind, reliable, and thoughtful support to care for their newborn baby.

Brielle was my doula for the birth of my first child in June 2025. As expected, I was excited, nervous, and feverishly trying to seek and learn as much information as I could during my pregnancy. After our initial consultation with Brielle, my husband and I knew we wanted her to be on this journey with us. Her bedside manner is delicate and razor sharp. She contains a wealth of knowledge and was a masterful guide while in the hospital during my delivery. If I had to answer a question from the OB that I was unsure of, I could look to Brielle, and with a nod, she reassured me of her sound advice. I found comfort in her always starting with a homeopathic approach before introducing other resources.  We aligned on desiring the best outcome for my son and my body.

Having a doula postpartum is a MUST! No matter how much you read and research, having someone you trust give you real time answers to your relentless questions is invaluable. Brielle was available 24/7 and was gleeful to be of service as a guide. I highly recommend Brielle for your pregnancy journey. I know mine would not have been as favorable without her. Best of luck and congratulations soon to be Mama/Papa!

As a single mom, I seeked to connect with someone special to assist me in my birth. I was overwhelmed in what to look for in a doula, until I was advised to interview, interview, interview.  In our initial phone conversation Brielle answered all my questions. I connected with her answers almost immediately.  When I met her in person, I knew she was perfect for the job.  Her energy is very warm, nurturing and loving. I had my baby in January 2019 and despite my efforts of a vaginal birth, my baby girl was breeched and I ended up with a cesarian. Looking back at my birth experience, I have to say that Brielle did a wonderful job in preparing me for a natural birth. I labored for 15 hours without medication and all her advise and guidance is what got me through it all.  She provided me with the tools for hypnobirth breathing. She periodically checked on my emotional state to ensure I worked through any fears or negative feelings so not to bring them into my birth. She encouraged me to listen to my body and my intuition and trust them both. I gained so much confidence in myself. She worked well with my midwife and birth team.  Brielle also educated me on the importance of post partum care. She advised on nutrition, self care, and my support village. Her post partum care provided womb and vaginal healing through vaginal steams. She also provided emotional support. She led a Mother Blessing ceremony, a wonderful and loving experience every woman should have before birth. And she completed her services with a Closing of the Bones ceremony, a right of passage from maiden to motherhood.  I loved both ceremonies. I would highly recommend Brielle as your doula. She is simply an amazing soul. She was the right fit for me and my spirituality. She will forever be a part of me and my daughter's life.

Brielle was so supportive throughout my pregnancy and labor. She checked in on My often during my pregnancy to make sure I was doing ok both physically and emotionally and still checks in from time to time. During my labor she was there every step of the way showing up late in the evening and staying all night so my husband could get some rest. Brielle was really supportive and helped me process all the things that didn’t go according to my plan. After days of labor and hours of pushing, I think I would have had a much less positive birth experience with Brielle’s support. Her postpartum support was great, and it was so important to have someone hold me accountable to healing and taking care of myself. Months later she is still checking in to make sure we’re all doing well.
